When freelance TV producer and blogger Patrick Riley got the chance to be a contestant on the game show Million Dollar Password, he took it and won $25,000! Gayle talks with Patrick, a friend of hers who often produces for The Oprah Winfrey Show, about his game show experience.
Patrick is no stranger to TV, but he's used to being behind the camera as a producer. He says being in front of the camera was a bit jarring. "In the moment, under those lights, it is absolutely nerve-racking," he says. With Regis Philbin as the host and High School Musical star Monique Coleman as his celebrity partner, Patrick says he was surrounded by pros but was able to keep his cool and win $25, 000. "For what my checking account looks like right now, $25,000 looks like a million," he says. "It is the easiest money I ever made!"
While his 15 minutes of fame as a game show contestant are over, you may see Patrick's again soon. He says his pop culture blog, thelifeofriley.squarespace.com*, is catching the attention of cable and national news, and he's making appearances as a commentator on online editions of newscasts.
