How many times has someone told you something you may not have wanted to hear? When they said it, they probably meant it, but did you believe them? Dr. Robin says when someone says something to you, whether it is good or hurtful, you should believe them.
"I want you to think about whose message you have been turning a deaf ear to," Dr. Robin says. Even if what you are hearing scares you, don't bury your head in the sand and don't hide from the truth, she says. "It backs up on you, and it will suffocate you," she says. "It will ruin your opportunity to really create a great life."
Begin to believe what people say and what people mean, Dr. Robin says. Come out of hiding even though it's scary at times to embrace the truth and hear the truth. "What I know for sure is that if you know the truth—if you embrace the truth—it will set you free," she says.
