Ellen Archer
![]() There's good news for avid, female readers who are sick and tired of the usual "chick lit." Gayle talks with publisher Ellen Archer about a new imprint from Hyperion called Voice. Aimed at an audience of women from their mid-30s and older, Voice focuses on issues concerning women who are balancing successful careers and a family—topics Ellen says she felt were not covered elsewhere in mainstream media.
Ellen shares how the drive behind Voice stems from her own experience as a 44-year-old woman who is happily married, working and a mother. Voice strives to fill a void in the publishing world by providing both fiction and nonfiction that allows women to explore the full depths of themselves and their lives, Ellen says.
