Are you doing your best? Are you making the most of what you have today to put your best effort forward? Dr. Robin says even when we're not feeling 100 percent, it's important to always do our best.
Sometimes you may not be feeling great or you may be having a bad day. Dr. Robin says no matter what the situation is, if you do the best you can for that day, you will be proud of yourself. "Your best today doesn't mean it's your best tomorrow," Dr. Robin says. "It goes up and down, it ebbs and it flows. … Are you evaluating yourself based on yesterday's trauma and drama? Or do you allow yourself each day to evaluate, 'Is this my best?'"
Dr. Robin says it's not worth comparing today to yesterday when deciding what your best is. "You have to ask yourself each day, 'Is this my best?' And if the answer is yes, then speak peace to yourself, your mind and your situations," Dr. Robin says. "If the answer is no, then tomorrow decide that you're going to try and do better. But each day, all you can ask is that you do the best you can with what you have that day."
