Deconstructing Male Behavior

Oprah.com   |   October 01, 2008
Rabbi Shmuley
According to Rabbi Shmuley, today's society is lacking in true gentlemen. Whether they don't have manners, don't show tact or behave poorly in general, many men just aren't respectful, he says. Rabbi Shmuley talks about male behavior and how the lack of young men with the qualities of gentlemen could have bad effects on marriages.
Today's Shmuleyism:
"Men should live by a code of masculine honor which is determined first and foremost by how they treat women. Using or manipulating women to one's advantage abrogates everything that the gentleman stands for. But honoring women, especially one's wife, serves as a great example to one's boys of how a real man, rather than immature boy, ought to be behave."
