The February 2008 issue of Domino magazine tackles Peter's favorite subject—clutter! He talks with contributing editor Cynthia Kling about her article "Desperately Seeking a Clutter Cure," which takes a lighthearted look at the history of mankind's quest to find a cure for clutter. On a personal note, Peter shares advice with Cynthia about ways she and her husband can tackle the organizational issues they face in their own home.
Then, Peter talks with Stephen Treffinger, the tech and design contributing editor for Domino, about how he overcame the clutter crisis in his home after co-workers staged a clutter intervention and featured it in the magazine. With the help of a professional organizer, Stephen says he successfully dug himself out from literally mounds of junk. "It was really liberating, and it even felt a little bit reckless, which was good," he says. After the purging process was complete, Stephen says he was able to host a dinner party for some of his closest friends—something he hadn't been able to do for years because of his clutter. He says that with less stuff around, he's also able to work from home more efficiently and breathe more easily. "In terms of peace of mind, it's very relaxing to have none of that visual clutter," Stephen says. Published on January 01, 2008
