Are you guilty of boasting too much and letting your ego get the best of you from time to time? Dr. Robin says when you recognize that your ego is inflated, deflate it. "Slow it down, let some of the air out and let some of the truth in so that you can build great, strong, sturdy and healthy relationships built from a healthy sense of who you really are," she says.
At the same time, you shouldn't try to stifle your ego and make it disappear. Instead, just keep it in check, Dr. Robin says. "People who really feel good about themselves don't have to do it on the back of someone else's success or failure," she says. "Let's start today and check our own egos out and see if it is swollen.”
