Are there feelings, thoughts, emotions or memories that you've buried within you? Perhaps there are things so painful, traumatic, frightening, humiliating or intimidating that you've decided it would be better to push them aside rather than deal with them. Dr. Robin says it's time to unearth those feelings and face them head-on.
Dr. Robin says our minds and our spirits are like a database that will keep registering those feelings until we confront them. "Until you face that which has happened in your life—until you really own all of your feelings—you can't work through them, you can't go around them," she says. "You've got to face them and own them."
Facing your true feelings is scary, Dr. Robin says. But once you do, you can begin the process of healing and figuring out what steps you need to take to live your very best life. "It's always better to face in to all of your feelings, invite them to the table, and then let them lead you into the light of liberation and living your very best life," she says. "Don't be buried alive. Spring forth and let the life that's in you come out and shine."
