Being Truthful

Oprah.com   |   November 23, 2008
Rabbi Shmuley Boteach
People are taught at an early age to never lie or be dishonest, but sometimes it's just too easy to bend the truth. "It's time to get back to a more truthful existence," Rabbi Shmuley says. He talks about the importance of telling the truth and being true to who you are.
Today's Shmuleyism:
"The truth shall set you free, and even so, it may not always be wise to say the whole truth. In rescuing relationships, or pacifying people, at times we need to withhold the whole facts. Lying outright can only be done in the case of saving a life."
