Dr. Mehmet Oz
From understanding why hair turns gray to learning how to cope with the symptoms of menopause and hepatitis A, Dr. Oz answers questions from listeners on a wide range of health and medical topics.

Dr. Oz also helps a caller who was recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes determine the best diet plan that will also help her lose weight. Dr. Oz says the proven method for sustained weight loss is to consistently expend slightly more calories (about 100 or so) than you take in each day. Over time, Dr. Oz says you'll drop the pounds and keep them off.

As for the most nutritious foods to eat, he says a good rule of thumb is to reach for natural, whole foods while avoiding refined sugars and processed food products. "The simplest way to remember this is to eat foods that look the way they look when they come out of the ground," Dr. Oz says.
