Jean Chatzky
Jean talks with Anne Fisher, the author behind the "Ask Annie" column for Fortune magazine's hub on CNNmoney.com. From what's appropriate office attire to what to get your boss for a holiday gift, Anne answers all your work-related questions.

Here are Anne's answers to a couple of common office issues:
  • Office dress codes vary widely from company to company, and even from department to department within one company. Anne says the safest thing to do is to adapt your style to your superiors—and this goes for those holiday parties, too.
  • Speaking of holiday parties, don't forget to use them as the networking opportunity that they are—chat with those higher-ups you might not always see around the office.
  • As a rule, Anne says bosses don't expect employees to buy them things. If you want to, give him or her something small and thoughtful, like baked goods.
  • To get ahead in your career, really take feedback into consideration—and even go as far as to ask for it from both your peers and superiors.
