She is a singer, an Emmy-nominated actress and the mother of four. Vanessa Williams talks to Holly and Rodney about how she balances it all.

Vanessa currently stars in ABC's Ugly Betty, which tapes in Los Angeles. Because she lives in New York, Vanessa says being able to make time for her children is key. "I'm always there when they need me, and they love to fly out [to Los Angeles] and hang when they can," she says. "It just works."

As for her two divorces, Vanessa says she has an amicable relationship with both of her ex-husbands—former NBA Player Rick Fox and publicist Ramon Hervey. "The men that I was married to were great guys and good fathers," she says. "You put your own stuff aside, and you make it work for the kids."

Vanessa says the most important thing to remember is to live in the present and be thankful for everything you have been given. "That helps me put everything in perspective and helps me deal with everything from day to day," she says. In terms of her career, Vanessa isn't planning on slowing down anytime soon. She says she'll continue on Ugly Betty and hopes to star on Broadway again soon.
