The Ovarian Cancer Research Fund's mission is to fund research to find a method of early detection and ultimately a cure for ovarian cancer. OCRF is the leading independent agency dedicated to advancing ovarian cancer research in the United States. Funding for research is directed through the OCRF scientific advisory committee, a group of 11 of the leading Gynecologic Oncologists and researchers in the United States. They review and make recommendations for funding four high impact grant programs. Since 1998 OCRF has awarded 59 leading medical centers 147 grants for ovarian cancer research: an investment totaling over $33 million.
