Jancee Dunn polls the experts

Q. I was recently on a full airplane flight, and I put my seat back to get some sleep. The guy behind me was 65 and asked me to keep the seat up, but I was exhausted and didn't. Did I do the right thing?

A. Taller people can't expect other passengers to sacrifice comfort, but it would be nice to show consideration, so don't put your seat back as far as it can go. And isn't that a great rule for getting along in life in general? — Anita L. Allen, professor of law and philosophy at the University of Pennsylvania Law School
