Q: Dime size, quarter size…how much moisturizer should I be using on my face?

A: A dime-size dollop will do it, says Leslie Baumann, MD, chief of the division of cosmetic dermatology at the University of Miami. But incidentally, if you're using a retinoid (Retin-A or Tazorac), apply just a pea-size amount of that, because more will most likely irritate your skin.

Bottom line: You probably need less than you think you do.
