Heal Muscle Strains Faster

Overdo it at the gym and you can end up with delayed onset muscle soreness, which can leave you hobbling for up to 72 hours. Research suggests that heat and stretching beforehand won't help, but an Australian study found that massage, given within three hours of the injury, resulted in 30 percent less soreness and swelling.
