A Cheaper Commute

In March, the maximum tax-free transit benefit for commuters who use public transportation increased from $120 to $230 a month. That means commuters in the 25 percent tax bracket would save an extra $330 in a year. Contact your HR department to see if your company is registered and to obtain an application.
