In 2001, 52 Egyptian men who were suspected of being gay were imprisoned and tortured. Mazen was one of the so called 'Cairo 52' and he opens up about his year in prison. Mazen recounts the events leading up to his arrest and the details about his time behind bars. Being gay in the Middle East is considered a crime, but once The United Nations stepped in, the majority of the imprisionment's were overturned.
