How single women can feel safer.
Living on your own can seem scary sometimes. Former police officer and home safety expert Bob Stuber says that one of the easiest ways to protect your home is through illusion.





Safety for Singles
  • Whether you have an alarm system or not, put an alarm sticker on your window. A thief won't want to take the risk.
  • Get a dog bowl (the bigger, the better) and place it next to the door. You might even want to write "Killer" on it, for extra scariness!
  • Another trick is to put a large pair of men's work boots outside the door. Hopefully a burglar won't want to mess with the man they "belong" to.
