Peter starts off in Harlem, where he's all set to do some ambush decluttering. Since five is Peter's lucky number, he heads to the fifth floor of an apartment building and starts knocking on doors. It's not easy to get people to open their homes to a stranger, but Peter finally meets Babette, a mother of two whose home could use some expert help. "You don't want to see my apartment," Babette warns. "I'm in my pajamas!" Babette lets Peter in and shows him her kitchen. "Why don't we try [decluttering] the cabinets? " she says. The cabinets are disorganized, but Peter's not daunted. "This is easy," he says. "I'm going to show you what we can do in 10 minutes." |
