Your First Sexual Experience

It's important to recall your first sexual experience because it may still be affecting you today. Dr. Hilda Hutcherson explains common myths about the 'first time' and why your experience could follow you for the rest of your life.

Two Myths About The 'First Time'
Most women believe one of two things: that their first sexual experience will be incredibly painful or that it will be an extraordinary, mind-blowing experience. Most of the time the reality is somewhere in between.

How It May Affect Your Sex Life
If your first sexual experience was a terrible one, the next time you had sex, you may have anticipated that it would be horrible. If you couldn't relax, the next experience may very well have been painful and uncomfortable. This is a cycle that can go on for years and years.

Dr. Hutcherson Recommends
How can you turn things around and start to enjoy sex? Think about what made your first time so miserable. Were you not sufficiently aroused? Was it a surprise? Was he rough? Think of all the things that might have been taking place, then change your approach to sex.
