Thursday Is the New Hump Day
Another day, another hike! This morning my team tackled Camel Back (hence the "hump day," get it?). While Stop Sign spurred lots of negative gossiping around the Resort, Camel Back had a reputation for being one of the best. And, they were right. It was a great hike. Where Stop Sign is about speed, Camel Back is about strength. This hike is almost all mountain. We climbed boulder after boulder heading straight for the sky. It was both incredibly challenging and absolutely beautiful.
Now, I must face the rest of the days' activities. I still have four more hours in the gym to go. It's crazy, right? I'm not the only one who thinks six hours in the gym is insane? Okay, good. This afternoon I have Cardio class, Ball Works (which I've heard is an upper body nightmare), Treading (cardio sprints) and Total Body H20. Before I head to lunch, I want to take a second to thank everyone who has been reaching out to see how I'm doing. Physically, this is the hardest thing I've ever done (I'm sure my posts have made that abundantly clear!). Aaron has certainly kicked my butt in the gym, but he only gets me for an hour. They get me for six, and that's what's killing my body. Everything thing hurts. Well, maybe not my earlobes, but everything else. That combined with the four toenails that are being sacrificed to the cause (yes, it's four now), and you can imagine how hard it is to even walk down a hallway. But, this is what I came for, and I know it's going to pay off in the end. At least that's what I keep telling myself :) Okay, I'm off to lunch. Let me just say the food here is fabulous. I'll be devoting a post or two in the coming days to discuss the menus, and I'm going to share some of their recipes too. Believe me, you'll want them. They are delish!
