Mitzi R. Krockover, MD
Dr. Krockover is a senior consultant with Sokolov, Sokolov, Burgess, a health consulting firm. Previously, she was vice president of Women's Health and e-health of Humana Inc., Louisville, KY. She came to Humana from UCLA where she was founding medical director of the Iris Cantor-UCLA Women's Health Center, named a Center of Excellence in Women's Health by the Department of Health and Human Services. In her role at Humana, Dr. Krockover served as the company's chief healthcare strategist and spokesperson for women's health and health education. Programs under Dr. Krockover's direction included: HumanaBeginnings, a comprehensive prenatal program that measurably improves the health of at-risk neonates; an employee lactation program; and a telephonic smoking cessation program. Under her direction, HumanaBeginnings became one of Humana's first online member programs.
