![]() Drink plenty of water!
The heat of the summer can rapidly cause us to become dehydrated. Dr. Perricone stresses the importance of adequate water intake year round because all-important chemical reactions on a cellular level take place in the presence of water, and unfortunately, most of us walk around in a dehydrated state. Dr. Perricone says that in his own practice, he has found that the patients who exercise on a regular basis take in a great deal more water, and their cells are better hydrated. This decreases inflammation on a cellular level and enables those patients to remain youthful and healthy. Published on July 15, 2005
