Mix 1 teaspoon of salt with juice from half a lemon and a half-cup of sage tea. The sage slows the growth of bacteria while the salt and lemon reduces the irritation and soothes your throat.
Urinary Tract Infection
UTIs are a common infection caused by bacteria entering the urethra. The main symptom is an uncomfortable burning sensation while urinating. Pineapples contain the enzyme bromelain. It has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that reduce the symptoms and pain of urinary tract infections.
This ailment strikes when germs create fluid build-up in the middle ear, behind the eardrum. It causes painful headaches and sometimes even fever. If you or your kids are prone to ear infections, look to garlic oil. Use a dropper to administer some warm garlic oil inside the ear (make sure it is not too warm that it burns). Garlic oil has antibacterial properties that help alleviate the headaches associated with ear infections.
