Kevin isn't the only person whose life was changed by the collision in Buffalo in September 2007. As medical personnel surrounded Kevin on the field, then-Broncos player Domenik Hixon—who was playing in his first NFL game—knelt on the sideline, devastated. "I wanted him to get up. I kept saying to myself, 'Get up. Move. Just do anything,'" he says. "When that didn't happen, I began to feel very emotional because I knew it was something serious, especially when they brought the ambulance out."
