Bob Greene
She is an internationally trained chef and the author of The Super Antioxidant Diet and Nutrition Guide. Robin Jeep talks with Bob about the benefits of following an antioxidant-rich diet.

Robin grew up with a family that loved exotic food and classic gourmet cuisine, so she was exposed to many different dishes at an early age. "I grew to appreciate the tastes and textures of European-type foods," she says. Robin worked as the marketing director for Whole Foods Market and as a private chef for many years before she was injured in a horse accident that would change the way she ate forever. Doctors attributed her rapid recovery to a healthy and nutritious diet packed with antioxidants.

Robin says The Super Antioxidant Diet was a product of her years of experience in the kitchen coupled with her newfound knowledge of the benefits of eating foods rich in antioxidants. The book outlines an eating schedule that focuses on nutrient-dense, high antioxidant foods and provides recipes, tips for shopping, advice for eating on the road and four separate meal plans to satisfy varying tastes.

Robin says there are many benefits to eating foods rich in antioxidants. Antioxidants protect the body from free-radical damage, prevent the body from functioning improperly and keep it free from inflammatory diseases. Robin says when you begin to eat antioxidant-rich foods, your body and brain start to function like they should and you discover how easily the wrong foods can prevent our bodies from functioning properly.
