Beeswax Candles
Created by Martha Stewart

Bath SaltsLight up your creative life with homemade candles! Great gifts for the candle lover in your life—or yourself! Note: These taper candles are virtually drip-less and will burn for about 5 hours. A larger pillar candle will burn longer. You may have to trim your wick a bit in between burnings.

SUPPLIES
Sheets of beeswax foundation, available in multiple colors
Wick (Wick is different than string, because it is made to burn a long time.)

Both are available at any candle-making supply store.

HOW TO MAKE A BEESWAX CANDLE
Lay a piece of beeswax flat on a table.
Place, or "channel," a piece of wick at the end of the sheet of beeswax. Roll the wax very carefully and evenly, starting at the end of the sheet with the wick. The wax can't be too hot or too cold, or it will be hard to roll. Room temperature is just right.
Finish the end of the roll with your finger by pressing along the edge of the rolled sheet.
Trim the bottom wick and bundle for gift-giving, or place in a candlestick for your home.
