- 1 cup self-rising flour
- 1 cup fine white cornmeal
- 1 tablespoon old bay seasoning
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon ground pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 cup buttermilk and 1 egg mixed together
- Green tomatoes
Slice green tomatoes.
Dip them in the flour mix, then in the egg/buttermilk mix.
Dip back into the flour mix and fry in hot vegetable oil.
