Servings: Makes 4 to 6 servings
Ingredients 2 cups beer or cider6 to 12 assorted sausages or bratwurst1 apple or pear , peeled and sliced1 teaspoon caraway seeds1 teaspoon celery seeds2 cups sauerkraut , washed and squeezedAssorted mustards
In a large pot with a steaming basket insert, bring beer to a boil.
Place sausages in steaming basket. Cover with apple slices and seeds, and top with sauerkraut. Cover and steam for 8 to 10 minutes, or until sausages are cooked through. Remove sausage and sauerkraut mixture from pot and serve with assorted mustards.
