Popcorn with Dried Oregano and Lemon

Olive oil replaces melted butter in this healthful, Mediterranean-inspired snack.

Servings: Serves 4 (makes about 8 cups)
Ingredients
  • 4 Tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 1/2 cup popcorn kernels
  • 1 tsp. sea salt
  • 2 tsp. dried oregano
  • 2 tsp. sesame seeds
  • 1/8 tsp. freshly ground pepper
Directions
Whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, and lemon zest in a small bowl. Set aside.

Pop kernels according to package directions, then transfer popcorn to a large serving bowl. Pour reserved oil-lemon mixture on top, and mix well. Season with remaining ingredients, and toss. Serve immediately.
