Planning an Easy Dinner Party Menu
Party-planning diva Katie Brown, author of Katie Brown Entertains, shares hints for planning an easy dinner party menu.

Plan an Easy Dinner Party Menu
  • Always pick something you have cooked on prior occasions.
  • Once you've planned your menu, make a shopping list. Keep produce together and dry goods together, so you know exactly what you need in each aisle.
  • Use packaged vegetables that are already trimmed or shredded, like beans or carrots, to cut down on time.
  • Don't be ashamed to buy brownie or cake mixes.
  • Prepare as much food ahead of time as you can.
  • Don't go overboard on appetizers, and have more fun when it comes to the main course. You can keep the appetizers simple with items like a cheese platter, some nuts or olives.
