Ingredients 1 cup milk1 cup cream1/4 cup fresh Peppermint leaves4 egg yolks1/2 cup sugar1/2 tsp. vanilla extract | Try this recipe for homemade vanilla extract
Bring milk and cream to a boil over medium-high heat. Stir in peppermint and turn off heat. Allow mint to steep for at least an hour.
Mix yolks, sugar, and vanilla together. Bring milk mixture back to a boil, then slowly add it to yolk mixture, whisking continuously.
Allow ice cream base to cool, then strain. Discard mint, then follow the instructions for your ice cream maker.
