Pear, Honey, Stilton and Walnut Napoleons
Created by Rori Trovato
This appealingly sticky dessert is all in the assembly, but the results are anything but assembly-line!

Servings: Makes 4 servings
Ingredients
  • 3 Anjou pears
  • 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup crumbled Stilton or other blue cheese
  • 1/2 cup toasted chopped walnuts , plus additional for sprinkling
  • 1/3 cup honey
Directions
Cut pears lengthwise into 1/4-inch slices, avoiding center core and seeds (6 to 8 slices per pear). Transfer slices to a medium bowl and toss carefully with lemon juice.

To assemble napoleons, place 1 pear slice on each of 4 plates. Top with a few crumbles of cheese and 1 teaspoon nuts. Repeat layering 2 more times. Top each tier with a pear slice. Drizzle with honey and sprinkle with additional nuts.
