Mix this fruit-infused syrup with sparkling water for a grown-up soda that can be far less sweet than store-bought sugar bombs.
Makes 1 cup
Ingredients
2 tsp. grapefruit zest
3 piece peeled ginger, sliced
1 cup sugar
Directions
Active Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 1 hour
In a small saucepan over medium-high heat, combine zest, ginger, 1 cup water, and sugar and bring to a boil. Stir until sugar is completely dissolved. Set aside to cool, then strain and pour into an airtight glass bottle. Store in the refrigerator up to a month.
