The Canterbury Tales
By Geoffrey Chaucer, Adapted by Seymour Chwast
141 pages; Bloomsbury USA
Available at: Amazon.com | Barnes & Noble | IndieBound
It's hard to know what the Middle English poet would make of seeing the Wife of Bath astride a motorcycle in this graphic novel based on his classic. But cartoonist Chwast (who last subjected Dante's Divine Comedy to the same cheeky treatment) is clearly having such a good time, his work is less blasphemy than a blast.
