I've Been a Cake Girl...
ever since I was traumatized by pie as a child. I stole one of those Hostess cherry pies, and I got caught. It would've been the perfect crime, but my mother noticed sticky red stuff on my face, and I broke down during the interrogation. Needless to say, I stayed away from pies after that. That is, until I tasted the lobster pot pie from the Kennebunk Inn in Maine. The puff-pastry crust is featherlight, the filling is velvety, and you can order one for your own table at mainelobsterpotpie.com ($88).
