Nathan Fillion stars in ABC's Castle
In the new ABC dramedy Castle, Nathan Fillion plays Richard Castle, a murder mystery writer who finds his story lines have inspired a copycat killer. The actor let Oprah.com's Screening Room in on a few of his favorite things.

Movie:
I don't have any number one favorite movie. I have movies that if it's a Sunday afternoon and they're on TV, I drop everything. One is Groundhog Day. Others are Aliens, Air Force One. My favorite Christmas movie? Die Hard. I have movies for every occasion, but I don't have any favorite movie.

Travel destination:
I recently went to a wedding of some friends of mine from high school in Costa Rica. It's just an incredible place. There were 30 or 40 of us altogether, so we brought our own good time with close friends and something to celebrate. Everything just kind of played out just right. It was fantastic.

Meal:
I have some comfort foods I really like—my mother's lasagna. And she makes a Thanksgiving dinner that's fantastic. Instead of bread stuffing she makes a meat stuffing, and she has to make extra helpings, more than can fit inside the turkey, because we always run out. There are also some restaurants in L.A. that have my favorite foods. A place called Cynthia's has fried chicken I can't do without.

Gift:
A friend of mine gave me the Sonic Care toothbrush. I love that thing. It's one of those things I use every day. The same friend, the next year, gave me an electronic razor that is self-cleaning. These are the things I use every day that make me say, 'Wow, my life just got better.' The gift I give most often lately is the TomTom GPS. Everyone can use one, and everyone loves them.
