Gayle King is Editor-At-Large of O, The Oprah Magazine, a position she has held since the magazine’s inception in 1999. King has helped guide the editorial and creative vision of O, The Oprah Magazine, which premiered on April 17, 2000, and was one of the most successful magazine launches in history. In its first full year both Adweek and Advertising Age named it Startup of the Year and Advertising Age named it Magazine of the Year. The magazine has been nominated for 13 National Magazine Awards, and continues to be one of the top 10 best selling magazines in the United States on newsstand.

This January, King will begin as co-host of CBS This Morning alongside PBS interviewer Charlie Rose and CBS’s Eric Hill. She has previously hosted "The Gayle King Show," which was launched in 2006 on XM/Sirius Radio and in 2011 was also broadcast live on OWN. She is a three-time Emmy® Award-winning newscaster, anchoring the local news on the CBS affiliate in Hartford, Connecticut for 18 years. She has won three American Women in Radio & Television Gracie Awards®: for Outstanding Talk Show (2007); Outstanding Talk Show Production (2008) and Individual Achievement Award for Host – Entertainment/Information (2010). She is also a 2010 New York Women in Communications’ Matrix Award recipient for her editorial and creative leadership of O, The Oprah Magazine.

King is the mother of a daughter, Kirby, and a son, Will.
