Suze 's advice is great for those with a great incomes and credit. I am a single mother of 3, lost my job last month denied unemployment have no savings and no credit. I rent an apartment and found out the landlord has not paid the mortgage and the building has been foreclosed on. The heat was provided by the landlord and the bill has not been paid (6,500) and the water bill. My credit is shot and I have no credit cards but student loans that are now in default. What do I do, I am the average person living check to check and now in a depressing situation and by the way I battle depression. The challenge is how do you help me, how do you help the person that has no idea of where to start because I have nothing but the desire and need to do better.
