I'd just like everyone to know that not all parasites are bad. Humans co-evolved with parasites so it makes sense that when you cut them out of your life, unknown side effects can occur. An example is the increased incidence of allergies and auto-immune diseases (including MS, IBD, and juvenile diabetes) in developed countries. If you have a subscription to online journal articles, check out this review article in the International Journal for Parasitology by Elliott, DE; Summers, RW; Weinstock, JV, called "Helminths as governors of immune-mediated inflammation."
Here is the abstract for peaked interest!
"Immune-mediated diseases (e.g. inflammatory bowel disease, asthma, multiple sclerosis and autoimmune diabetes) are increasing in prevalence and emerge as populations adopt meticulously hygienic lifestyles. This change in lifestyles precludes exposure to helminths (parasitic worms). Loss of natural helminth exposure removes a previously universal Th2 and regulatory immune biasing imparted by these organisms. Helminths protect animals from developing immune-mediated diseases (colitis, reactive airway disease, encephalitis and diabetes). Clinical trials show that exposure to helminths can reduce disease activity in patients with ulcerative colitis or Crohns disease. This paper summarises work by multiple groups demonstrating that colonization with helminths alters immune reactivity and protects against disease from dysregulated inflammation."
Hello everyone! I have found, through my experience as an alternative health care provider, that stinky feet can also be a case of a zinc deficiency. Another marker of zinc deficiency are white spots on your nails. Teenage acne can also be helped with extra zinc.
Hangover cure? Try rooibos tea. It's full of anti-oxidants. But if you've REALLY overdone it, nothing's going to help but time on the couch! LOL
Living in Houston, Tx. I was shocked to see Dr. Oz's valuble health show interrupted for Breaking News. I cannot believe the "news" was about Roger Clemens filing a lawsuit. Please consider having the January 7, 2008 show as a rerun. This breaking news segment has been running for over 25 minutes now. Another good topic may be what should be declared as breaking news that would override OPRAH. I have tried to email and call our local station, KHOU. Since I cannot get through I feel I am not the only OprahOz fan that is upset! Thank you.
HI, Members can always find information from a specific show on the corresponding show page. Information from this show can be found by clicking this link here.

I haven't been able to find a neti pot, but was having sinus trouble. We fight mountain cedar here in TX.
I used a new plastic squeeze bottle with the flip top. Worked just fine!! I was amazed that I was able to breath
as soon as I finished. My daughter tried it this morning...she was impressed. This morning was only the 2nd morning
of using the saline solution....love it!! Funny thing I didn't have a runny nose....I felt like it was dried out, but I had throat drainage.
No more!!
The neti pot could actually be on three shows, the Dr Oz, the going green and the saving money! Just extrapolate the saved kleenexes, pill packaging & money saved on medication! One little pot & salt water vs how many boxes of tissues, boxes of sinus and headache medication, it could be a green revolution all by itself if maybe one tenth of the families in the US started using it! WOW .....
