Hi. I just watched the show about the spa getaway. I was deeply moved by all the courageous women. I especially related to the mother with 5 children who lost her husband. I too lost my husband 10 weeks ago. He was 43 and it happened all of the sudden like the gal on the show. I too have 5 kids, 4 of whom still live with me. If this woman reads this at all I would like to express my heartfelt thoughts to you. I am still reeling, as my husband was my best friend of all. Someday I would like to take my 2 daughters on a release type of getaway. Thank-you Oprah for being a one of a kind woman.
Oh,my word! I am so grateful for Gyle's Big Adventure. I was in my bathroom playing with make-up, as my twins were suppose to be sleeping. On of my children came into the room to let me know they were now naked and had decorated their cribs. All I wanted was a little me time. I have been going through a lot of medical testing. I've had to be in bed or down more. I haven't watched TV since May. So I was blessed to catch Gayle. I too am not a fan of rides and being raised up high. I road on a ride with my four year this past summer and screamed my head off. I was doing some wonderful breathing I learned for child birth. My daughter new I was afraid because she knows to do that breathing method if you are hurt. I was ready to cry for Gayle . Just the thought of that. With all that has been going on in my life, I have really been pondering about happiness. I watched my daughter who is so inspiring to me. She is my oldest, she has special needs. She works so hard. She is so smart and aware she knows when things are hard for her and she works and works to achieve her goal. She is so happy. She always makes others around her happy. I realized that happiness is something you do, you just don't have. I am searching for more joy and happiness. So Gayle, I am with Oprah all the way . . .That brought me so much more joy and happiness!!!! Thank you for doing that! So thank you from the bottom of my heart. I do have smeared make-up . . . but it's from more joy!!!!! I am proud of You! But the Joy you gave!!!!!!! Thanks So Much!!!!
I see that soemone has already asked this question but I am going to ask it again. Does anyone know the manufacturer of the chairs that Oprah and Gayle were sitting on. The look fabulous and so comfortable I would really like to find them for my home.
Oprah producers if you read the message board you should have had the furniture in the credits for the show. You mentioned the rug but not the chairs. 0angelbear wrote:

What a memorable episode! I loved it and I also loved the big black sunglasses Oprah was wearing when she was laughing at Gayle doing the swing and a prayer. :P Could someone please tell me what kind of sunglasses these were? I checked under resources and couldn't find anything leading to it. Thanks!
I read about the stories from the participants. One thing in common is that they all went through some dramatic hardship, rap, lost of parents, etc. Correct me if I am wrong, why women has to play the role of victim in order to get a spa adventure or any kind of treat or recognition? How about women go on an advanture "just because"?
