Would you take another person's love without a conscience?

I am picking up a tone in these threads that is very worrying. Would you see an opportunity to grab a man at any cost? Suggesting divorce as an excuse to help yourself? Is there any honour today, and do people restrain themselves from the hurt such an action would cause. Desperate times call for desperate measures, what do you think? Feel free to comment and even deviate from the subject, this is an open topic.

Well, Lady Eve, I don't mind telling you that the idea of "getting a man at any cost" has always seemed VERY ALIEN to me. But remember that I come from Cleveland, where "normal" mindsets have been a rapidly decreasing minority for a long time. Around here, women are more interested in leaving the State than finding a man here.

But in my opinion, love REQUIRES conscience. REAL love does, anyway.

Love means putting someone else FIRST. And sadly, what you are describing sounds more like POSSESSION than love.

On more than one occasion, I have mentioned people scoffing at me with: THE ONLY REASON YOU WANT TO HAVE A GIRLFRIEND/WIFE/FAMILY IS BECAUSE EVERYONE ELSE HAS ONE. CAN'T YOU LEARN TO THINK FOR YOURSELF?

Hypocrisy is the spice of life yet again, it seems.
