Be honest-

Posted on Aug 28, 2008 10:48 AM

Won't it be horrible to find out after death the Christians were right? That all you had to do in this life was to make a decision to accept Jesus Christ and the sacrifice he made for you so you could be in right relationship with God, but you refused.

I am not talking about the fires of hell, But the regret that lingers for eternity that you refused the One true God who loved you so much that he came and died for you..

If you are right about what you believe what will become of all the Christians you feel are being duped?...Nothing will happen that doesn't also happen to you.

But if we are right and Jesus Christ , The way the Truth and the Life, then is this really worth not taking the time sincerly and making sure?

Are you absolutely positive you will not have to face him and be judged?...For all judgement is given to him.

Each Man will have to give an account for " EVERY WORD" spoken.

Being Honest, yes, to me it would be horrible if christianity was right. (I can't lump all chistians as being right or wrong, as that comes from one's heart, not one's beliefs) As it would mean that God judges people based on something they say or think, and not on how they live.

Be Honest, would it be horrible if you found out christianity was wrong?

My heart is true, and free from hate, if that's not enough, so be it.

In all honesty , I am absolutely positive. And if each person will have to give an account for every word spoken, I guess that would mean that in judgement, none would be judged as worthy. I am absolutely positive that I will not face him and be judged.

My husband says the same thing. I guess I should say, he is warming up to the idea that maybe something really did happen to me and I may be right. In my other posts, I did not believe in hell a year ago and something happened. I became "born again" and it wasn't in a church. It happened at home when I was emailing back and forth with my sister who is gnostic, pagan, psychic. She was telling me that Jesus actually traveled to Europe or something and he was a healer, but she denied he was God's only begotten Son. I was writing how I believed that Jesus was God's only begotten Son and he performed all the miracles that was stated and the biggest miracle was himself. That is why this happened. So anyways, after this happened I saw this guy named Bill Weise who said God took him into the depths of hell so he could come back and tell people that it is a unimaginable place to be. You can tell that this experience really happened to him because he is still deathly afraid to tell this experience he had.

so what you learned is God tortures people forever and ever in a place called hell? Which by the way is an error on the part of bible's who use the word. It should be tranlated hades.

If I took up religion based on the hell dogma I might as well kill myself because I would want to.

<-------- ditto's freedom guy again..... hey this post reminds me of a joke i got in my inbox one day... i'll share it... some may find it offensive.. but oh well. it pretty much states how i feel it may very well end here goes:

A Pagan In Hell

A Pagan dies and, to his great surprise, he finds himself standing before some pearly gates.

The Pagan asks, "Where am I?"

Peter says, "You're at the gates of heaven."

The Pagan says, "But I don't believe in heaven."

Peter frowns at him. "You're one of those Pagans, aren't you?"

"Yes. I believe I'm in the wrong place; I'm supposed to go to Summerland."

Peter says, "Sorry. We took over Summerland, and it's temporarily closed for remodeling."

"What should I do now?"

Peter says, "Well, since we don't allow Pagans in heaven, you have to go to hell. Sorry. Just follow that path that leads downward and to
the left."

The Pagan walks down to hell, where the gates are standing open. He walks in and finds beautiful meadows, happy animals, and clear
streams of water.

He walks on in and begins exploring, and after a few minutes a courtly gentleman walks up to him and bows politely. "Hello, I'm
Satan. You must be the guy that St. Peter phoned me about. Are you a Pagan?"

"Yes, I am. What's going to happen now?"

Satan says, "Well, the fishing's pretty good, if you enjoy that sort of thing. There's a little refreshment stand down the road. And I
believe the Pagan meeting grounds are right over the next hill."

Suddenly, a hole opens up in the sky above, and a yawning chasm opens directly underneath it. The stench of sulphur fills the air. Hundreds of screaming, tortured souls drop down into the flaming pit, which immediately closes up with a thud.

The Pagan, hardly believing what he just saw, asks Satan, "And what was THAT ???"

Satan rolls his eyes. "Oh, just ignore them. They're Christians; they wouldn't have it any other way."

now wouldn't it be horrible if this version were RIGHT (to the Christians anyway)?

I translate Jesus's words. And no, God doesn't torture people. God is Love and people do not want his love. Many people want to rely on themselves for that love.

Hi Vanmom, This is to say about this guy named Bill Weise, people say a lot of things or say they experience things. That does not make it real or that it happened. Sometimes people have hallucinations and they really believe it. So they spread it around and it sounds good. When people start to say that God used them for something a red flag should go up. Sometimes people lie to get attention.

I don't know about your personal experience, that is personal to you, but check this out, you have not gone into great detail about it, like this guy you mention. That tells me you keep it personal. Your experience, and your truth. You are not saying that God told you to tell people about it. to me that is the difference between you and some other people who set themselves up as a spokesperson for God.

I have had my own personal experiences with spiritual matters. They were mine and for me. I chose not to disclose it because, first of all I would sound like a nut to some, and second of all I believe that it was something I needed personally.

Thanks, Patee
