Blige!
It was the BEST birthday present I could have received. Oprah, Gayle and the entire staff were so gracious! I will never forget how everyone made me feel. I also saw the hardest working people in television!! What a pleasure!
Thanks again!!

The show taped on April 29. I couldn't believe this was happening to me!!! It was one of the best days of my life!! When Oprah came out and said Summer's Favorite Things- My mouth dropped to the floor and I thought I was going to pass out right there!! All through the show it still felt so surreal, like It wasn't me that was sitting there. Like I was in a dream. when I had to buy another suitcase to bring all my stuff back home is when it started feeling real:) Thanks Oprah for making my first time at your show the best experience ever!!
WOW!!!!
I cannot tell you the feeling that went through me when she announced that she was doing this show! When you are watching the screens in the wating area where they are showing the past shows, and you think, wow, to be able to be on a show like that. Then, she announces it, it's a feeling you don't want to ever forget! We were so excited that we were hugging everyone all around us! It was perfect timeing for my husband and I because he is in the middle of this cancer thing, and we are both needing jobs, so, Oprah, you blessed our lives at a time we needed encouragement. We thank you so much. You are such a wonderful, giving person! We love you!
THANK YOU ~ THANK YOU ~ THANK YOU TO OPRAH AND COMPANY!
I can't wait for Friday's show to air ~ keeping this a secret was so hard....AMAZING gifts!
I was so excited to get to go to a show I didn't even care what the topic was ~ I just wanted to the experience!! And then to have it be the favorite things show....I just can't say enough!!!
It really was the best time ever and being there to share it with my sister made it even better!!!!! Oh my gosh...I can't wait for the show to air!!! Oprah is awesome and so gracious....I will never forget the "moments"!!!!!!!
Getting to go to the Oprah show has been on my fantasy list for several years, I have been watching since I was a teenager and I have always loved Oprah and watching her evolve over the years has been amazing. She is such a role model for all humans in that she is so "real and true to her spirit" and she is such a testimony of how being authentic can lead to such greatness. I love the direction I see Oprah headed in, with the new venture of OWN, I see many challenges, but so much that will be so very rewarding and giving to the public on so many different levels. I can hardly wait to see all the greatness that will come from such a platform as the one she has created.
My friend Vicki and I had so much fun coming to Chicago from Indianpolis. We have both been on a mission to get tickets and when we were finally blessed with the opportunity we felt like children being told that they were going to Disney World! Neither of us could sleep with all the excitement we had exuding from our beings. It was opportunity enough to simply come to the show, any show - just for the experience of having been there. All the while Vicki and I both hoped it would be a show of content, rather than one about a new movie or something star related. We are both such huge fans of Dr. Oz maybe we'd get lucky and he'd be there! Or maybe it would be about "The New Earth" since we are both enjoying that journey as well. Many of our friends teased us by saying things about coming home with a new car or a trip or something like that - we simply had no idea what to expect because we were not told what the show topic was. In all our excitement we didn't even ask!
To hear the words - "the hottest ticket in town" made my heart explode, we both went through so many emotions in the first few minutes, I remember being a bit light headed and fearing that I was going to pass out and miss everything or make a scene and get shipped off to the hospital!:^0 The entire experience was incredible and I remember telling myself to "stay in the moment" over and over again- it was such an incredible moment to moment ride that day! I will not ever forget, I felt as free and as happy as a child while we were there - and for a busy wife, working mother of three - that is a feeling that is really hard to find or even remember on most days. All in all, words can not express my gratitude! THANK YOU - THANK YOU - THANK YOU we both had a fantastic time and we are still enjoying the attention from family and friends as a result of the experience. I can't wait for Friday's show to be free to talk in detail.
Staff you ROCK! Thank you also for all your hard work and taking care of us "first timers" to your show! I hope and pray to get to come back someday!
Sincerely,
Tracey from Zionsville IN
My daughter surprised me with reservations for the Oprah show with an early Mother's Day trip to Chicago - we thought the topic for the show might have centered around mothers and daughters for a "Mother's Day" show. I cannot express the surprise and excitement we felt when we discovered the actual topic for that day - it was totaly surreal. I love to watch the video clip just to experience the moment all over again. It was not about the gifts at all, it was totally about the experience of the day and most importantly sharing that special time with my daugher - that time together was priceless!
To our new found friends that were in line behind us from KY - I love watching your reaction on the video clip - I am SO glad you were able to get your ID from the hotel and get back to the studio in time. Wasn't it all just the very best ?
A special thanks to Oprah and all of her wonderful staff - they treated us like friends and family and made this day so very special - one we will never forget. Thanks for all you do to make this world a better place. You truly DO make difference!
Yes, it was a total surprise! From what I have heard, audience members rarely know what the topic will be before they get there, unless they are invited for a special reason (like, "my mom is the best mom because..."), then they might know.
But for us, it was a complete secret. Although a bunch of us did lose our breath and start crying as soon as we walked into the studio and saw the fabulously decorated set! We thought, "It CAN'T be!!!! Can it?? Is it? NO way! Could it be???"
*sigh*
Can't wait to see us acting like crazies tomorrow!
