The children on the show today's were very bright and talent. I am just sadden that Oprah Winfrey, who is a model for so many Black children in America, didn't have ONE Black child represented among her presentation of the "World's Smartest Children".

The children represented many facets of performing arts and not ONE Black child was featured. How do I expain to my daughters that Ms. Winfrey ( or her producers) couldn't find ONE Black child among the bunch that was worthy of presentation.

I am very disappointed.

To the person who is very disappointed ... maybe you should find the talent in your own child and submit that video to Oprah. Then complain.

The girl that can sing ... and sing very well ... she sang that song better than Whitney (the Whitney of today)!

In response to the woman who thought Oprah didn't feature one black child ... didn't you see the feature about Willow Smith?

I should mention, too, that Ethan (pianist) , Guyland (accordion player) and Quincy (dancer) were featured as well, and they are black. But I was so impressed by their talent, I didn't immediately remember their race when I wrote my first response. To say Oprah didn't represent blacks is unfair and doesn't really make sense. I think the point of the show was to represent youth, talent and intelligence.

Most "real prodigies" grew up with far fewer resources at their disposal. Baby Einstein is a joke.

Yup in response to etamara too....What are you talking about no talented black kids featured? There was the talented daughter of Will and Jada Smith, Willow. Then the fabulous dancing boy, Quincy Eaton. And the amazing 10 year old accordionist who has never taken any music lessons in his life, Guyland Leday.....Wouldn't you say they are all wonderful representatives of talented black young people....I loved them all....

Yup, got to agree with you tiger (LOL baby einstien). I do know that even the girl Charice, couldn't afford any voice lessons when she started (I saw some of her life story on youtube). Her father left them - her mother, her and young brother when she was 3. Mother struggled to support them and there was even a time when they had to sleep on the floor as they had very little money to buy furnitures. Little girl learned singing from watching her mom and aunt sing in a band when she went with them on their gigs. They were just surprised that when they went home this wee girl of 4 would be singing the songs they were singing especially the Whitney songs....I guess these kids are truly what one would call "child prodigies."

To etamara, its amazing how you could be dissappointed when the black population is represented. there were a lot of kids who are blacks at the show.

l was really touched by the 2 and half year old Lilly who knows the world map in and out. l salute you baby Lii.

Charice Pempengco, the girl who sang "I Have Nothing" by Whitney Houston, my God, she's soooo good! How could that voice come out of that little girl?! That was really an amazing talent. I hope she goes far in her singing career. I started to browse youtube for her videos, she's really blowing me away. I watched her StarKing (Korean TV Show) perfomance, were she sang "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going" from Dreamgirls, she was like having fun there but at the same time, she really performed well. I've learned that she also appeared to Ellen De Generes Show last December, and she also performed a Whitney Houston song, "I Will Always Love You". It seems she really love Whitney.

She's one of a kind. Hope she really goes far. I wanna see more of her.
