Hi Everyone
Im a 30 year old Aussie mother of a 7 year old autistic son. The Oprah show aired in Australia today was about Autism Awareness and it was just wonderful to see that someone as prominant as Oprah had decided to give Autism a bigger voice. Just wondering if anyone out there is in a similar position to me and may want to chat about various experiences as I believe that America is so much more far ahead in the fight against Autism that Australia is. I would love to hear from anyone who has any stories or experiences they would like to share.
Thanks
There's actually an autism board on this site caluma, just go to health and the autism discussion board is at the top of the page. There's a lot of us in the same boat as you, as well as some actual autistic people who might be able to offer you advice. Come and join us!
Hi. I joined a very supportive site called bellyhood. There is an Austism group there you may want to check out. As a matter of fact I was just chatting with a new author from Australia named Rebecca Mugridge, which is what caught my eye from your post.
