How do you feel about aging? Jamie Lee Curtis says, "Bring it on!" Plus, new mom Salma Hayek. And, the stakes are getting higher—the latest Big Giver sent home is here.
See what happened on the show!
LOVE*LOVE*LOVE Jamie Lee Curtis! What an authentic, genuine and likable woman she is. And gorgeous!
I turned 50 last year, and found it easier than when I turned 30. Why? Because the difference between turning 50 vs. turning 30 is that THEN, I cared about how the world viewed me - NOW it's all about how I define myself. True words, ladies ~ BRING IT ON!
Well said, VC -- and good for you! I'm a few years away from the big 5-0, and I'm really looking forward to the Jamie Lee Curtis interiview. She and others are setting a great example about being comfortable in your own skin and having fun and being who you are vs. worrying about age. It's just a number -- so bring it on!
Agree with everything #2 had to say. Thank you Jamie for your candor. You sound like the friends - and REAL women - whom I admire.
You speak to the values - and concerns - we really have. I'm tired of the sense of entitlement, denial of failure, quick gratification, materialism and artificiality all around us.... it is glorified (or set as a model) by too many celebrities. Jamie is a truly refreshing exception. Someone PLEASE give Jamie her own talk show and I think it/she would be a runaway success!
I think Jamie Lee Curtis is just great. I live in South Carolina so we won't get the show here until 4pm today. But I do plan to watch. I have a question about something else, though, that I hope someone can help me with. I would like to get back to the message board concerning Thomas and Tracy. Could anyone be of help ? Thanks in advance.
WOW! Not only did I learn today that since I had my children in my 20's I am a fool and a celeb feels sorry for me but I am also boderline a moron because as a woman I chose to get a piece of paper that says I am married to a man!
I am getting pretty tired of the celeb women coming on this show and insulting me a viewer because I actually wanted to get married and God forbid I wanted children with a husband and not a boyfriend!
There are a lot of us out there who are very happy being married with children but you wouldn't know it from the views expressed continually on the Oprah show.
Yea, is she stupid or what? In that article Oprah mentioned she did say she also didn't want a girl cause she was afraid of when her daughter became a teenager. And I did loose weight from breast feeding with eating. And had my kids in my 20's and am loving it. With a husband! What a concept! A family! Now we will be young enuf still to enjoy life when they are on their own. ALMOST!!! These women having babies in their 40's...they may not see grandchildren. I don' think it is fair to the child. MY OPINION!
I think her posing nude is great. It shows confidence in her self. I at this point don't like my body and couldn't do it. I would like to get to that point. Being confident is a great trait. On the Big Give I think Rachael does not have this confidence she is trying to prove herself and hurting herself in the long run. One has to be able to look at themselves and see their faults and be willing to admit when they do something wrong. She could have learned by the other team mates and refused to look at what they were saying.
Hi vcpowers: Glad to hear you feel that way - I am heading in that (50) direction, and boy do I remember turning 30 - I was ever so despressed about leaving the golden years of a slim body behind (sounds like a big ego), but if we are all honest, we all can identify with that. I still struggle with the tummy bulge, etc., but I am hopeful I will become aware of who I am, rather than the world's perception of the 19 year old body lasting forever - good for you - good for you!
