The Church of Oprah!

Oprah, you have gone to far! You are leading people away from the truth. I hate to be you on judgement day.
Jesus said, " I am the Way the Truth & the Life; No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6

1dimondgrl, "Judge not lest thy be judged". God loves unconditionally. That includes both you and Oprah. Forgive her for what you believe is a transgression, and pray that both you and she may be guided by the light of Truth - WHATEVER that may be. Have the courage and faith to let the truth be what it is and ask God for the guidance to lead you to it. Know that it will not be realized in our judgmental mind, but only by an open heart.

I would like to say that if you had listened, really listened to what was said, you would see that Oprah nor Eckhart are trying to start any new religion. They are trying to help people in whatever walk they are in to see the psychology of our minds and to try and help ourselves. This has nothing to do with religion.

I am going to repost this as I think for you it is appropriate:

memama2 wrote:you are right about the kindness and humbleness of God and His teachings, and I am truly sorry to be so perceived as mean-spirited. But it is like a bad sunburn, all the cruel , rude, hateful, jokes at the expense of any "christians" as stupid and worse. Every comment of mockery, was like a slap on a sunburned back. iInever thought the "enlightened" , and "awakened" would be so unkind. I will try to only discuss, not remark in anger. You see when Jesus Christ Himself , is made to be a belittled teacher in Tolle's books, to be sneared at and made a joke by some of the "new Earth' believers. The pain was to much to bear and I could not stand it. There are good people with answers, they have tried to discuss the problems and teachings they read about, with an open heart, only to be told to shut up, we are not going to listen. That is when I knew , there was something wrong.
There is no belittling, that is all perception. I told someone they were ignorant, and she got upset. But I had even been careful to explain I was using the dictionary mean of "lacking knowledge of the issue" and not the socially snide manner of speaking. It was her perception that I was mocking or being derisive- EVEN THOUGH I carefully stated I wasn't.

As far as preaching the message here, there is one simple reason that I'm not really buying that reason for being here (particularly on 'nodrugs' part). That is because it has repeatedly been stated that people here have HEARD the message, studied the Bible, and DO NOT AGREE with the interpretations that you are trying to force us to accept.

So perhaps it will help you to think of it as "God has hardened our hearts" against the Message. We get it, and we don't want it. We are on our road and we are happy and content to be there. From our viewpoint, your teachings are distorted and evil, and from your viewpoint, ours is distorted and evil. The only thing you can accomplish here is to further harden our hearts because we have heard the message many times, and the attempts to force it upon us yet again are having, at best, the opposite effect you hope for.

I understand that you claim to be here to discuss the book, but what you are here for is to dissuade us. It's your right to try, but just because it's my right to poop on my own living room floor, doesn't mean I bother to do it. It's stinky, and no fun to clean up. Plus it draws flies and is generally non-hygenic. You get yourself worked up in anger at people trying to give them a message.

The thing is, we get it. You don't agree. We get that, we really do. You think we are going to hell, and you can't remotely understand how we feel or what we think. We get that, too.

I hear you. I really do. I understand you want to preach because you think you're supposed to. I understand that you just want me to give up my beliefs and take on yours and never look back. I hear it. I get it.

Now, can you hear me? Can you hear what people are saying back to you? I hear you. I get what you're saying. I'm not interested, anyway. Thank you very much, but no thank you.

Christianity is right for you. I am THRILLED (no sarcasm) that you are happy, content, and pleased, and filled with joy by your beliefs. I am THRILLED that you honestly feel you have found truth. Truly, without reservation, I am.

But I am EQUALLY DETERMINED that what I believe is right for me. I know that you cannot understand that. We're not asking you to understand. We're just asking you to accept it. Our hearts are hardened. So please stop. Really. Please study the Bible, and let us study ANE. I promise that I am intelligent enough that I won't kill myself or my children or poison the world. I promise that if I go to Hell should Jesus come out of the clouds, I will be okay with it. I've made my choice. I am as content with my choice as you are with yours.

You can fight that all you want, but you can't change it. I don't agree with what you are askign me to believe. I have studied the Bible extensively. I have heard the Message over and over again (and over and over and over and over and over and...). If I haven't changed my mind by now, do you honestly think that arguing with me and quoting to me from a book that I believe has been completely misinterpreted and even distorted is going to change it now, all of a sudden?

I'm not alone. Many, many of us here have heard your Message. Now we just want to be able to get on with our "hell going" without being pestered. At this point, that's all it is, pestering.

When you offer someone a glass of water, and they say "No thanks," do you keep trying to force them to take it? Do you keep pressuring them? Do you deride them for drinking orange juice?

Just let it be.

We are lost to your teachings. We are content to be lost to your teachings. We believe your teachings are the distortion. You believe our teachings are the distortion. Neither of us has a weaker belief than the other. So now what? Shall we continue to fight and squabble? Can you leave the ANE message board in peace to talk and just accept that we are lost and we are content to be so?

What would Jesus do? Would he cast his pearls before swine? Was it not he, himself, who said NOT TO?

So please. Let us be. I promise not to come into your Bible Study and fling poo. Honest. Abuse

1dimondgrl...........take a big deep breath in....slowly let it out ...and again..Breath in Breath out. O.K. for just an
instant can you see the second coming of Christ not Christ in the Physical form... but Christ as the shift in consciousness that renews human nature by raising it to the level of the divine....it is very simple what is being said in Tolles work.and others Jesus walked this earth to show others of God Consciousness and how you to have God within.

The only thing that's likely to be destoyed is our erroneous beliefs. Hang on to yours if you wish but unconditional love, and freedom from self created ignorance, is available in this present moment. Let go of the conceptual chains that bind you. Once all beliefs are set aside, one may see truth of or one's own essential nature. Seek truth and truth will set you free. Clarity and Love...

God has given her so much, why wouldn't she want to share information with others? In my opinion, be open to the possibilities, if you don't like it, you are free to go on with the way you're living.

Are you happy? Are you at peace? Is your life one of love and joy? If so, move on in your freedom, don't try to destroy one woman for following her heart. Did you ever think about it this way-- perhaps Oprah feels that God is leading her in this direction. Maybe HE is ordering her steps. How about a little "non judgment" here? Be Blessed where ever you go :)

You said," Be Blessed where ever you go". Hard to do that if you are going straight to HELL.

What part of, " I am the Way the TRUTH and the life" do you NOT understand?
Hope you find TRUTH too.

Your message is lost when you are condemning people to hell. The bible does not teach that hell is eternal torment. Hell means pit/grave or common grave. It would be nice if those sending people to hell would actually study what hell is.

oh cheri! you are the one with the saddest most mean comments to Christians. It is a privilege to see how this is working for you by your posts. When people who have studied the Bible , got conned by Oprah into reading this book and saw it for what it was. They discussed is and thought that would be a good thing. Wisdom brings knowledge. You choose to be a person , showing the world your 'awakened' ego-less , no sin , no God, new way to the new earth self. Hows that working for you???, cause so far you seem pretty mean and self-absorbed to me. Maybe you could show how it works by re-reading all that nonesense and getting re-awakened. You really seem to need it. Other wise go to some other source (God-Big G) for help. I am very far from perfect, but I will not be decieved, you on the other hand seem to be wanting to silence any discussions. maybe you should "let it be". We the interested can keep discussing what was said amongst ourselves.

God does love unconditionally and he is a wonderful parent. Because he loves unconditionally he also promises to discipline his children. He tells us not to judge, we are to love one another. He also tells us that we are to use good judgment which is not the same as judging. However, he gets to judge which makes him greater than we little children can ever be. That's why He is God and I am not. Love you all and may the hole in any heart be replaced with His Holy Spirit that convicts and counsels right from wrong.

We are in the age of questioning and deceit, the Indians call it kali yuga.

The frauds and lies and distortions of the bible are just coming to the surface. The abuse of power in the name of God oh Abraham is sick!

This is the age of revealing where those shaky foundations are uprooted and replaced by truth.

The shift has begun.
