I was watching the same show and thinking the same thing as you. I can't believe these shows that claim to tell you where to get fashionable clothing for bargain prices. I agree that $60.00 is way too much for a sweater. These shows need to give women true advice on how to find bargain priced clothing that is stylish and sometimes from famous makers. They should be telling people on a budget to shop Marshall's, TJ Maxx, and even Ebay. The best way to shop is to wait until the end of season and shop the clearance racks. You'll get bottom dollar prices and have clothing to wear the next year. I am an addicted bargain shopper and I would feel awful if I paid $60 for a sweater. I was starting to think I was the only one who didn't agree with those shows so it's nice to know there are others out there. I suppose if you are a billionaire you could pay $1,000.00 for a t-shirt and think you are getting a fabulous deal. Then again, the wealthier you are the less you need to buy because companies give you stuff for free. I would proudly wear a designers clothing too if it were given to me for free.
They are saying $60 is affordable because they are probably paying that much for a pair of socks! They are celebrities and only buy high-end stuff. What I do is watch and see what the latest trends are...I get ideas from the shows and then buy a less expensive version from stores like H+M or even Old Navy, or I get high-end stuff at a discount store like Loehmann's, Marshall's, TJ Maxx and Annie Sez. I also get great designer shoes from DSW and MJM shoes stores. It feels so good to get great quality at a discounted price! ![]()
